Miah has had so many challenges - we got her from a kennel at about 6 months old. There she was used as a pin cushion for vaccines - the owner used her in place of other dogs for vaccine administration in order to save her own favorite dogs from vaccines. Then, after we got her, we had the unfortunate experience of over vaccinating her again with extra rabies shots due to a misunderstanding by the vet and a run-in with a porcupine. Her immune system began to break down and she started to become very ill. We struggled with insane itching, loss of fur, blackened skin, terrible odors, etc. We couldn’t wait for Apoquel to be released. When she first started on it, it was like a miracle drug - she was a new dog. She started to live again. However, after being on it awhile, it became less effective and her itching and smell began to return. I also started reading about the very real dangers of cancer, etc. and became very scared to keep her on it. Then I found System Saver. She takes two System Saver in the a.m. and 3 each p.m. Her worst time of year is the fall and early winter - she is a little itchy right now but NOTHING like she used to be. She wasn’t itchy at all this spring and summer. She used to have NO FUR at all on her belly and half way up to her chest - her skin was black and bumpy with no pink at all. Her undercoat had all gone too - with constant ear infections. Now, she has a thick beautiful undercoat, with soft fur, along with thick fur on her belly. The skin on her tummy is still black but has pink areas showing through. Her ears are also still black inside, but she hardly ever gets ear infections now. She used to smell very bad and now smells like shampoo. :-) Thank you guys for developing this product - I am so happy to be able to maintain her on a raw diet and System Saver with no other meds anymore (except probiotics and fish oil). What a blessing!!
